Portable first
DashMap should work in your car, a rental, a borrowed vehicle, or on a trip where you only have your iPhone.
About DashMap
DashMap turns an iPhone into a portable dash cam with route context, parking memory, saved moments, and private local video storage. The goal is simple: make it easier to understand what happened on the road without installing another device.
Why it exists
Dedicated dash cams are useful, but they are fixed to one vehicle and often produce raw footage that is hard to review. DashMap is built for people who move between cars, rent cars, drive with CarPlay, or want a lightweight recorder that travels with them.
DashMap should work in your car, a rental, a borrowed vehicle, or on a trip where you only have your iPhone.
Drive videos stay on device unless you choose to share them. The product should make storage and data controls visible.
Recording controls, CarPlay surfaces, and trip review should be fast to scan and safe to use in the right context.
What we are building
DashMap combines recording, navigation context, route history, saved moments, and parking memory so a trip can be understood later. That means less hunting through footage and more useful answers when something happens.
